What to expect: This modality is performed with the client disrobed, lying on the massage table beneath a massage towel (link). Therapist applies lotion with the hands, and then proceeds to massage with the feet. When client is face up, the limbs are modestly exposed at the same time for ease of working as the therapist massages the anterior side of the legs and arms. When face-up, the client’s eyes will be covered with a loose overlapping head wrap.
What to expect: This treatment is given with the client seated in a chair. Shoes and socks are removed. Areas worked include the legs just above the ankles, and the outside, inside, top, and bottom of the foot. The pressure is deeper and more specific than you may expect from a typical foot massage. Therapist will administer techniques using thumbs, fingers, palms, and knuckles as well as stones, gems, and other tools. Client may choose to converse and ask questions, or to sit back and relax.
What to expect: This modality is performed with the client disrobed, lying on the massage table beneath a sheet and a blanket. Only the area being worked is uncovered at a time. Undergarments may be left on, if preferred by client, though this limits the massage techniques that would be able to be effectively used in those areas.

The client disrobes to their comfort level, and lies under the sheet and blanket. Only the area being worked is exposed at a time, while securely draped with the sheet. Clear communication helps little clients feel safe and relaxed.

Soft music provided as client is left in solitude to relax and rejuvenate.
